I have an imac mid 2007 and i'm a gamer. I currenty have 1Gb of RAM and 2Ghz of processing. I want to upgrade my ram to at least 4GB because my mac is terrible for games. I want to play games such as minecraft, gmod, counter strike, and rust. If there's anything else i need let me know!

Any laptops will run far better with 4GB than 1GB. No question about it.

4GB RAM would be good, but no more because the iMac mid 2007 only supports up to 4GB. That is a low end processor so you'd probably be best getting a better one, just make sure that it is compatible with your PC.
With that said however, i think you should be able to run those games even now on the lowest quality settings, but i don't think you'll get very good FPS. Also, your graphics card is fairly weak and you might wanna get a new one, but again just make sure it is compatible.
To answer your question, yes 2Ghz and 4GB RAM CAN be good, however it always depends on the processor. You can have 2 processors with a clock speed of 2Ghz but one is still better than the other for many reasons. Clock speed is not the only factor to how "good" a CPU actually is.
