Anything you buy today will do your day to day computing. You need to look up the recommended hardware for the games you want to play and make sure that whatever you pick performs on benchmark tests equal to or better than the recommended hardware benchmarks.
You may want to look at upgrading to a i5 quad core. You'll have a bad BF4 experience with an i3 and moreover a slow rpm HDD, gaming in general. Buy a HDD spec'd at 64mb cache 7200rpm minimum.
