How do I stop ATI drivers has stopped responding and has recovered?

When I play games like steam games and minecraft sometimes I just randomly crash and a message pops up saying ATI drivers has stopped responding and has recovered.Sometimes when this happens my computer even crashes and I have to restart it.
Please help?

My computer-
Windows Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit

Processor: AMD Turion(tm) II Ultra Dual-Core Mobile M620

Graphics Card: AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200

Total RAM: 3.7 GB

Firstly recommended to check that you have the latest ATI drivers installed. I would also recommend memtest for your ram. Seatool for your hard drive. Off chance it is a symptom of another issue.
