My Minecraft has stopped working?

I just bought the game like three days ago. I went on to play and it was talking about not having enough memory. I tried the solutions it suggested for me but nothing worked. Now when I try to play, I'll click the play button then it'll show the Mojang thing and just stay there. If I click at all it starts saying "(not responding)". The day before I had downloaded two texture packs and changed my skin, but I was able to run the game without incident shortly after these changes.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

Depends on how much ram you have got and what you have got running in the background

Uninstall and reinstall. Takes like seconds. Probably just a weird resource pack you downloaded that screwed up or was really laggy or something.

Well, Resource Packs can really suck down system and video memory, but first you need to be running the correct version of Java. Go here and download/install Java: http://www.java.com/...va.com/en/ If you have a 64-bit OS, then you should also have the 64-bit Java (it's OK to have both versions installed together): http://www.java.com/...manual.jsp Try to run Minecraft now. If that fails, navigate to your.minecraftesourcepacks folder, delete the packs, and re-launch Minecraft. If it plays, then the packs were the problem. If not, then just delete the entire.minecraft folder (backup your saves folder first if you want to keep your stuff). Start the Launcher, log in, and re-download the game. Now move the saves folder back into the.minecraft folder to get your worlds back.

You can get to the.minecraft folder by opening Windows Explorer and manually typing the address in at the top of the screen: C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\ The.minecraft folder is probably at the top of the list.
