How to free up graphics card space?

I really want to play Minecraft but it keeps on crashing after a few minutes. Is this because of my graphics card and how do I fix this without ruining/messing up my computer?

Added (1). Also it happens with lots of other games.

Graphics card space? That makes no sense. And it's unlikely that your graphics card matters for Minecraft, as Minecraft is not GPU-accelerated directly. It uses Java.

Now your JAVA install could be broken, and you can update that, but it might be something else entirely causing Minecraft problems.

But not knowing your hardware, your OS, or anything else, it's a tough thing to help.
