Is 5gb disk space enough for a minecraft server?

I just want to know- a host i'm looking at offers 5gb disk space within my price range- is this enough or is it worth paying £160 more for 10gb instead? (the payment is flat rate, not monthly)

If you want to play with friends, i'd suggest just having the server on your computer and using hamachi to connect to your friends.

if you want a public one, a free way to do so is to have the server on your computer and open your ports to allow people to connect to you.

5GB is enough… For a while. Mine takes up about 3GB. They tend to grow and grow as the players explore more and more. You may or may not hit the 5GB limit, but for starters stick with 5GB.

I host my own server, and I don't need hamachi. Family and friends play and it works fine. No one has privileges by default, so I don't have griefers trying to trash the world.
