I recently purchased X12 Turtle Beach Headphones for my Windows 8. I was talking on Skype with my friend and playing Minecraft and I can't here anything but the Skype. I can't even here YouTube videos or anything on the Internet when we're on Skype together!

When you connect your audio device, sometimes windows decides that device will be used only for particular purposes > in your case, only for skype calls.
You can make it the default audio device by > RClick on the speaker icon, in the bottom right of the screen (where the clock is), > click on playback devices > click on your headphones to select them, and press the "Set default" underneath.
