Games suggestions? GAMERS

I have two months of holidays, so I'm bored. I've never really played PC games before, so I have no idea about it. Suggestion for PC games?
My list now:
1. LoL
2. WoW
3. Minecraft
4. Call of Duty
Any suggestions? How to get started? I prefer online games anyway. So if I want to play games I need to buy CD or what?

SimCity, Skyrim, Fallout series, Sims 3 (4's coming out this year)
Counter Strike Gmod, Game dev tycoon, Team Fortress 2, There's so much more but those are some really good ones.

If you get Steam for pc you only need download the games (which depending on your connection and the game size can take a LONG time) and their sales are pretty good. But you'll have issues if you can't connect to the internet playing some games offline unless you set it up in advance. Also make sure you can run the games you're buying if you don't play pc games much. As for the games Lol is a good time sink, time flies. Mmos are good mostly and Wow seems to have a good track record but prepare to lose a lot of time and possibly sign on for a more than 2 month commitment. Minecraft is alright but a lot of online servers are garbage if you're wanting multiplayer.
Can't think of anything else at the moment.
