Some online friends and I are tired of playing minecraft itself, but we're bored with it after a year or so. We were hoping to find a multiplayer game that would let us keep playing together but would switch things up so we aren't bored. Really any suggestion would be appreciated! Willing to be adventurous. Preferably free or a one-time payment, but like I said, any suggestion would be great!

Gmod, really fun, relatively easy to set up a sever, and can play LAN like minecraft. The best game mode in my opinion is prop hunt.

LFD2 (Left For Dead 2 ) - Honestly this is a brilliant 4 player online coop shooter with zombies and team play, oh and the mods are fantastic.
Gmod- No explanation considering someone else suggested it already besides maybe the fact that all sorts of hilarity can occur when playing with friends it's kinda like minecraft without the crafting and lack of circles/round objects.
Borderlands ( 1 or 2 ) - Both iterations in this series are excellent coop games that prove that blasting stuff with buddies is never boring.
If shooters ain't your thing.
Portal 2 - Honestly the witty banter and dialogue in this game is enough explanation, plus what's better then going and laughing at the game alone. Playing and laughing with your friends through the entire adventure.
Castle Crashers - Reminds me of that old teenage mutant ninja turtles game back in the day at the arcade. Enough Said.

Sherwood dungeon it is online and all you need to do is sign up go to your e mail check for the Sherwood dungeon email and boom done no downloads no paying but if you want pets horses extra characters etc you need to pay money but the sign up and playing is free non the less

There's a game called ''rust'' its basically minecraft but with real life graphics.search it on youtube. Its a very good game.altough its in alpha version. But yeah.
