Can I replace my AMD Radeon HD 7310 graphics card with a 7770 without an issue?

I'm getting a bit into PC gaming and I have a pretty decent computer, but my graphics card is awful. I'm wondering if I can replace it without an issue? I'm not looking to play Skyrim or anything like that, just Minecraft, Goat Simulator, etc.

I have a
Gateway
Windows 7
64 Bit operating system
4GB of RAM
Processor: AMD E1-1200 APU with Radeon HD graphics 1.40 GHz

My lack of knowledge is unbearable, I know.

So long as the card physically fits, there shouldn't be an issue. Sometimes, a small case or poorly-located components can interfere with a large video card. Only way to tell is to open the case and actually try to fit the card.

Both cards use the same PCI Express x16 mount, which is about the only mount used these days.

Above answer is correct, but i'd say that even if you do update it to a 7770, that cpu is so crazy underpowered you might not notice much of a difference.

Both of the other answers are incorrect. Laptops generally don't have dedicated graphics cards, and neither does yours. The AMD E1-1200 is something called an apu, which stands for accelerated processing unit. An apu is a processor that uses half of its cores as the gpu (graphics processing unit). It uses the system's ram unlike a dedicated graphics card which has its own. So you would have to replace your current apu with a faster one of the same socket type, which i believe isn't possible with your latpop because it is soldered to the motherboard.

The Radeon HD 7310 is the graphics "chip" which is integrated with the CPU to make an APU. You do not have a separate graphics card. The only laptops whose graphics can be upgraded are some of the very high end ones - and not even many of those.

If it's the gateway sx2110-ub25, EVERYTHING on the mother board is sodded with thermal paste(I think.
