Does Paypal only work with certain banks?

My son tried to setup a Paypal account, I can trust him, and when we tried to use his bank account number there was an error. Could it be that he was using a matching name as his bank account? Or is it that he has an account for minors?

He wants to use Paypal so he can get payed. He has more than $100 from some Minecraft thing he made when people clicked on the link to download it. He can't get the money because he doesn't have a Paypal Account.

Added (1). sorry, I meant more than $20. I was thinking about something else. If only it was 100 though…

When i tried adding my bank account i wasn't able to add it for weeks, and found out because I used a capitol letter where I shouldn't have. Yep it's true, even if you mistype a capital letter where it shouldn't be it won't work.

For example, if you typing Bank Of America in the bank name it won't work, but Bank of America would, I learned that myself the hard way.
