After upgrading to Windows 10, my subwoofer (2.1) doesn't play audio?

I just upgraded to windows 10 a couple days ago, and it seemed to run pretty smoothly. Firefox has been cooperating better than before and the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft works really well. Today, however, I plugged in my 2.1 home theater and tried listening to my music. Immediately I noticed a problem-- there's no bass. I checked the subwoofer, and sure enough, it wasn't working. Up until now, I hadn t used the speakers with anything familiar after my upgrade, so I hadn t noticed it. Now, however, it's glaring. I tried everything I could to fix it-- checking the control panel. Updating drives, disabling and re-enabling the device, generally everything under the sun --and nothing worked. The subwoofer won't play its audio, and thus I have no bass. My dad said he experienced a similar problem after upgrading to Windows 7, but he couldn t recall the solution. Does anyone else know the answer?

Try updating your driver for your audio card. Thus far there have been a LOT of sound issues with Win 10 that have been resolved with a driver update to a Win 10 driver.
