Minecraft Multiplayer for Xbox One?

Added (1). Is it like minecraft for the pc can i join a list of servers, or do i need to friend who has minecraft in order to play co-op

Unfortunately there's no list of servers to join. To be able to play co-op you would need a friend with the same console and game.
