I can load any of my worlds, and i think its because i don't have enough allocated ram. So i change the java arguments to various amounts ( i have 8gbs of ram on my PC) when i did this there was a java virtual machine error, so i went to control panel>system>advanced system settings >environmental variables> new then i try adding the _JAVA_OPTIONS with -xmx(various values) but no value i set fixes the java error, and at this point i can't even start the game even with the default ram allocated
Problem with minecraft and allocated ram?

Environment variables may not be read until re-boot, depending on application.
Usually one has a Java startup script for MC, there you allocate the ram (or in control panel/profile editor of the game). There are two parameters, the XMS which is the start ram, and XMX which is the maximum ram. Now, make sure you are running the 64 bit version of Java, because the 32 bit may not run right, and also can't allocate a lot of ram.
