Minecraft won't launch on windows 8.1?

I recently upgraded my windows 8 to 8.1 and now my minecraft.exe is unresponsive. I've tried to uninstall all java and re-install, same with minecraft, I've ran in compatibility mode, updated all graphics drivers, done everything that I could do to make it work, and everything that I've found on the internet does not work. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?
