Added (1). Is minecraft a dangerous game for an 8year old who has ADHD? He acesses it through you tube and will watch it for hours on end it has taken over his life. He seems to have all the information about it in his head and can reel off all the strategies one by one. He is my stepson i have him during the school holidays. I'm wondering is this normal for kids nowadays he was on minecraft the whole time. It seems to have become an addiction.

It will most likely become an addiction. Minecraft also teaches a lot to kids in many ways.
It is hugely popular all over the world… Imho because of it's creativity, which is a good thing
But i'd suggest to have strict time limits to playing in general (1hour max per day)

It's THE big thing every kid plays nowadays.

The game is rated PEGI 7 in Europe, meaning 7 y/o and over can play it, so no, it's a creative game which is even used to teach kids in some classrooms.

All video games are dangerous, especially because of the hrs. Spent on them, causes sedentary body with no activity bad for your heart games also cause a lot of seizures so yes, video games fro kids is not a good idea any longer.
