No, minecraft is a sand box game where you are put into a random location and fend for you life by building things, foraging for food by killing animals, making tools. There's an objective which I believe is to kill the ender dragon or something as there are 3 bosses but the game is basically do what you want no real quest lines in this game.

if you want a story line with quests I assume you would want minecraft story mode which is a separate game. I think it's the same concept but this one has quests and stuff to do
