First, lower your settings. A lot could be happening if you put your render distance up. It is one of the major reasons why minecraft gets laggy. Also, reduce some other settings like fancy graphics, clouds, etc. Then, if you haven't done so already, download optifine on optifine.net. Go to downloads, and select the latest version. Then after you download, a profile will appear called "optifine" on the MC launcher. From there, you can easily select it and play. Optifine basically allows you to zoom in, opens more advanced settings. Not only that, but can triple your FPS. Then make sure you are using your graphics card. Right click on the MC launcher and click open with, and select open with your Geforce graphics card. Your PC may be running on integrated graphics. Using these methods, you should be able to reach way above 60 fps, and your eyes will be able to see the difference.
