New Tv help? I now lag on Xbox 360 (everything)?

Alright so I purchased a new TV on black Friday, it's a 60" Vizio and I had a 38 inch older model I'm not sure what type, I have an Xbox 360 and it worked just fine on the old TV but on my new TV there's a lag, I don't mean like I need to adjust to the new TV, there's literally a lag. Like it's a second after when I knife in COD, it knifes, when before it was instant. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I don't know why it's doing this. It's the same thing for the entire Xbox; not just COD. Even on Minecraft, I can't do anything, even move, without lag.

Any help?

Make sure you're connected in HD.
Make sure your Xbox is set to the same format that your TV is natively. Probably 1080p, but if you switched from 720p TV you might have a mismatch.
If your TV has "game" mode then turn it on as the default modes usually add some smoothing or other features that make TV shows and movies look better, but add lag.
