So my brother got an XBox 360 from GameStop but we forgot to get the one with an HDMI slot, so we returned the old one (saved the hard drive), and then we went home with an Xbox 360 with an HDMI slot.Then, we got the XBox 360 working again and I tried playing Minecraft (since we already bought it), but it said it was the trial and when I pressed "Start Game" or whatever, it said something about an corruption and I had to reinstall Minecraft, so I did, but it still said it was the trial!

Did you do a license transfer to the new console? If you have not, you'll need to do that with the account that bought the game originally.
You can also log into the account that purchased the game originally, go to the account purchase history and redownload the game again from there. If you have not yet license transferred, you will also need to be connected to Xbox Live with the account that originally bought the game in order to play it.
