Added (1). I will be getting my son a Xbox 360. The main game he will be playing is Minecraft (Disc) and maybe a few other games but they will always be disc games.

Is the 4gb best for this?

I will say no, because while it will work for having a handful of games, as time goes on and you get more games for it you will eventually have to get a hard drive for it, and buying a 4GB Xbox 360 and then a hard drive will end up costing more than just buying an Xbox 360 that comes with one

4gb is not enough. You need at least 8 gb.

I'd get a 250GB. 4GB is hardly enough for anything these days.

You need a hard drive. The 4GB Xbox 360 is only suitable for someone who will ONLY play offline, and ONLY play retail versions (disc) of games.

The 4GB version does not allow you to install games because it doesn't have enough space. Installing a game to hard drive speeds up the load times and is highly recommended, especially for games that read from the disc a lot.

So you really want the 250GB version. It is a little more expensive but the convenience makes up for it.
