How to play 2 player on minecraft xbox?

You have to have xbox live, unless you both are playing on the same console. Create a map, then it will ask you whether or not you want it to be online or not. Check that box if you want people to join.

You have to have hdmi connection to play split screen

Need hdmi cable and x2 gold accounts i belive

If it's on the same console make sure you have an hd tv and press start on a second controller

First you have to connect your xbox to your tv using an HDMI cable (straight plug-in).

Turn on both controllers along with your xbox, then launch minecraft.

Make a new world or load your own and when you're in that world, click start on the other controller and it should work.

You DO NOT need Xbox Live Gold in order to do this, just actually Live accounts (doesn't matter if it's gold or silver)

If you are playing on the same console you will need a tv that supports HDMI
