Can a minecraft player on pc play multiplayer with a xbox one player?
Short Answer: NO… Game code & content are completely different between the PC & Console (360 / XBox One) versions…
Long Answer: NOT YET… While Minecraft's ORIGINAL version (which will remain in Java) will never have cross-platform support… The Windows 10 Edition of Minecraft (Available In the Microsoft Store for free for existing Minecraft owners, $10 for everybody else WHEN Windows 10 releases) is noted to have cross-platform support with the Portable Edition AND the XBLA versions (multiplayer support will be limited to 8 players, including yourself). The coding for this edition of Minecraft will be different than the core edition, so don't expect all the features & blocks to be available right away (although Mojang does work hard to try to keep all versions updated with as much as the same content as possible).
Please be aware that the Windows 10 Edition of Minecraft will only be available on Windows 10 PC's… So if your computer is running Windows 7 or 8/8.1, this might give you some incentive to jump on that free upgrade starting July 29th (which will be available for a year, ending on July 29th, 2016) Nope, I'm afraid that's not possible.
