My brothers have the minecraft xbox one edition. They had given their xbox account password to him and now their world's have been deleted.
My brothers have never had xbox live, so I'm wondering how could they of got hacked?
Can someone hack your minecraft without you ever having xbox live?
If they have an Xbox One gamertag, they have Xbox Live.
Xbox Live Gold is different and is the thing you have to pay for.
They also weren't hacked, they gave away their ID and password. They're probably lucky they can still get signed in at all.
Your brothers are idiots.
1. They have Xbox Live. It's Xbox Live Gold that costs money. Live by itself is free, and is what you get when you create your gamertag.
2. They weren't hacked - they gave away their username and password. The person simply logged in with that, and deleted stuff.
This is why the first rule of passwords is NEVER GIVE ANYONE YOUR PASSWORD.
Your brothers did the equivalent of giving a stranger on the street the key to their house, and now are wondering how a burglar got in to rob them. Again there was no burglar - THEY GAVE HIM THEIR KEY.
Consider this a painful lesson in information security.
Have them change their password and make sure nothing else got changed in the account (security questions, etc.)
