Can you use the MINCRAFT DISC on an XBOX 360 WITHOUT XBOX LIVE?

Ok so my stepbrother was going to buy the minecraft game for our xbox 360 (The CD version) and was just wondering if you need an xbox live account to play it, before he wastes his money?

Yes. You do not need XBOX Live to play Minecraft. All you have to do is put the disc in and play. You would only need Live if you were to play online. When you put it in, just hit "Play Game", and go from there. WARNING: HOURS OF ENTERTAINMENT WILL BE HAD.

Nope you don't, he can still get an xbox live account, but not gold
