Can I put my hard drive into another Xbox?

I'm going to Arizona for spring break tomorrow and we'll be staying at my parents friends house that's in the middle of nowhere. I'll probably be stuck there with my brother while they go out most nights. Now they have Xbox of there sons who is in college now that I can use but I want to be able to play with my friends. So my question is can I take the hard drive out my xbox put it in there's then back in mine when I get home without damaging any of the data? Also will everything be transferred (Game Data, My Profile, Arcade Games, ect.)? And with the arcade games I play Minecraft a lot so would I have to re-download it?
