Ok, so a while ago (3 to 4 weeks), my DINOSAUR of a monitor computer wouldn't boot up… So I clicked the power button, checked the inputs, but no output. Not even the windows logo. So I got my grandfather to bring a flatscreen TV for a monitor. It worked until it got onto the bootscreen (user selection screen). Then it was just black. So I thought, "This is odd". So I booted it up on Safe Mode. Worked perfectly but me being a gamer (Minecraft FTW) it sucked. Anyways, I guess my graphics card is needed so:
DDU Version: 9.1
Detected GPU: Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family
Current driver version: 8.15.10.1930
Windows 7 loads up fine, until bootscreen turns black?

It sounds like your computer is set to a resolution the TV does not support. Thats why it works ok in VGA in safe mode. I would take it down a notch or two if its a HD TV it should display 1280*720 or Stadard def 720*576/480
