How come my minecraft ps4 edition won't ship until october 7th?

It's digital-download only for now. They haven't even said when discs are going to ship if you want to wait for that.

I though it released the 5th, or is October 7th when the hard copy or card code comes out? Its a bit annoying, because i had to pay for shipping when i assumed it was buying the digital code.
