Will Youtube ruin my future?

My parents think that posting Minecraft videos on youtube will create a potential for future employers to think I'm lazy, too interested in gaming, etc etc.

Does this make any sense to you?
They think companies will search for my IP address/youtube account to track everything I've done on the internet. And when they see my minecraft clips (videos without my voice or name in them) and think I'm a fat, lazy gamer.

Is this good logic?

Added (1). I say millions of others do it so they probably won't have many workers if that's what they do.

NO… Employers don't track IP addresses etc. That's pretty extreme. How would they get your IP address and more importantly, why would they spend money doing such a useless endevour. Besides, there's nothing wrong with Minecraft. Some companies will see this as a sign of a motivated individual. You took time to create something and post it, not lazy at all.

Are your parents paranoid schizophrenics?

No they Will Search for your ip And No Creating Minecraft Vids is Sometimes Hard Work Especially If There Going to Be Good Ones

It's not possible. The only people who can see your history is the company who makes the network, and they won't care enough to look into it unless they suspect criminal activity, and the network admin. So you have nothing to worry about. Besides, there are worse things a company could see than minecraft videos on YouTube.

If the employer can link the name they can see what videos you made if your name is on the account.

LOL thanks for the laugh man haha.

Your potential employers WILL google you. If your content is linked to your name, then it could be a problem. However, video editing skills are valuable. Having high quality videos could help you land a job. Have fun learning the software with games, but consider branching out as well.

Their are examples of Youtubers that had made a living and I'm saying that pretty much most of them are in healthy shape. So what if your too interested in Gaming, if it helps you, go for it!

Also posting videos of Minecraft doesn't automatically opens up a possibility of people tracking you. Kinda silly when you look at it
