Will Ubuntu Support This Build?

I'm new to Ubuntu and building computers.

I'm on a budget and I went with an i3 because I wouldn't need too much right now. I'm planning on upgrading to i5 or i7 sometime next year. Oh and also would the FTW series be any better than the gpu I have selected?

I'll just be working on game development, minecraft, indie games, and minecraft animations(+ a unique series that I'm working)

I'll be working more than playing. About 1-2 hours max a normal day.

Ubuntu is 'Open Source'

It is being worked on every hour of every day.

There's NO DOUBT that it will work for you.

Enjoy, Dan.

Should support. A suggestion. Just upgrade the ram more if you are planning on development. Actually any brand will do. When you are playing games, your would be too excited to notice the framerate difference. You can reduce the harddisk to 500GB if possible and get some external hdd for backup. Change to i5 if possible for cpu. The mobo, casing, psu are not so important you can go for other cheaper brands if there's any. Focus on the heat, so get a watercooling unit for your CPU like corsair H100 or H80 if you can. Purchase more case fans afterwards. There's difference if you compared it but your selection should be sufficient. Watch the heat. Hope this helps. Good luck! Post again if there's any issue.

use the power supply calculator to see if your power is sufficient. http://support.asus.com/powersupply.aspx

It will work
