How to Mod Minecraft 1.7.10 Ubuntu/Linux?

I have already downloaded 1.7.10 forge for minecraft ubuntu no problem. I have also downloaded one mod. My problem is i don't know how to open that mod and use it on minecraft. Somebody help

Go to your.minecraft folder and drop the mod file into the mods folder. I don't quite remember where it's saved for Linux builds, though.
