Why won't my Minecraft work? - 1

OK, so I just bought Minecraft and I really want to play it. But the thing is, it won't let me. When I open up the launcher, I'm logged in and I'm on version 1.7.4! So… I click play and it opens up a tab where it blends in with the background behind it. (a.k.a. You can see through it) I can also hear the music and then about 5 seconds later, it automatically switches back to the launcher.

Any ideas? I have tried almost everything! (Restarted my computer, deleted Minecraft and re-installed it, switched versions, tried installing other link, and logged out and logged back in!)

Have you upgraded Java?

A lot of people have this problem. You have to update java, your Graphics card, and drivers. Look on youtube to see how to do that (Too much to explain also I don't know your Operating system)
