Why is minecraft so laggy?

We just bought a new computer and the first thing i downloaded was minecraft and it runs on 1-5 fps? How do you fix this? I use razer gamebooster and it only boosts 5 fps. Help me

2Gb Memory
320 SATA HDD
NVIDIA GeFORCE 9300 (Dedicated Graphics)

Well it could be(and most likely) your computer. It might not be able to handle Minecraft. What kind of computer is it?
Updated: You could be having too many things running at once on your computer. Or, you might not have enought space left on your HDD.
