Every time I left click, the box that allows you to pick your hat pops up. Why is it doing that and how do I fix it?

Double check what key the menu is attached to. Make sure it's not changed (either by yourself or on its own) to left click accidentally. If not, try force updating the client or removing it entirely and installing again. Before you do that, remember to keep your world saves, if you want them, that is.
