When will the stupid sneak/username problem in Minecraft be fixed?

It is ridiculous that you need to keep the sneak button held down so other players can't see your nametag and then soon after, hunt you down and raid your base! Other players should NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES be able to see your username behind a wall or any other physical barrier. Holding down the sneak button all the time makes it difficult to do everything. If I don't do this, people find me and destroy my base and kill me. It is so unfair and is just very bad game design!

This isn't a problem so they won't be fixing it. I suggest just putting a water bottle or something heavy on the shift button.

Not a technical problem. The game isn't actually built to have plugins and stuff. It's supposed to be vanilla, and playing with friends, and gathering material. In that situation, that function is something I'm very happy about.
