When buying a MacBook what's more important? Processor or Memory?

I've decided to buy a 13" MacBook Pro. I want to get the best I can for under $2,000. I can either upgrade the processor, or the memory.

I plan on using it mostly for school, but I also plan to run a few games on it like the Sims 4 and Minecraft.

I have no idea what one would benefit me greater.

Its up to the Person. Do you want a lot of room for pictures and downloaded programs or a faster computer, for me, i would always pick the processor because you can always get a flash drive!

With a better processor you can do things faster
With more Memory (ram) you can do more things at once
(Simple terms)

So I recommend getting a better processor for faster gaming.

For gaming, a faster processor is important, but having more RAM available is often make or break for your experience in the game. Plus, you're going to be gaming when you should be using it for school, so being able to switch between applications quickly is going to be a priority for you.
