What is a good video editing software?

So I recorded a minecraft video with fraps, used Windows Live Movie Maker to edit it a bit and saved it. This compressed it from a 20gb file to a 3gb. I was told this was to big for youtube so I got handbrake and compressed it down more. Now my video can only go to 360p.

I have no money atm so I can't purchase anything. Any ideas for a better way to record, edit, and render/compress files so I can get at least 720p on youtube? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

In general, fraps most people don't like to use. Fraps usually lower FPS. I suggest using Bandicam for beginners. Fraps doesn't use a compression method, which makes it giantically huge. Bandicam is free but it only goes up to 10 min. If you want a full version without money get a keygen or crack for it.

Sony's Vegas Video is one of the best choices. It has a LOT of power and is VERY cheap. Much cheaper than Adobe.
Plus you can set it up with a YouTube link and it will automatically post your video to YouTube using the link.
It is also VERY complex and you could make a "real" move with it.
