So, I'm able to mine for diamond and iron, Build houses and beds, and I just end repeating everything over again and never go beyond. What else can I do in Minecraft? What are the experience points for anyway? How would I tame a horse?

Experience points are for enchanting your tools armor and weapons. They become stronger to be generic. Tame a horse with sugar I believe? I'm not to sure on horse training. Plus if you get bored, try playing some custom maps? Hope this helps.

You really should play custom maps, they are a lot of fun. Maybe go play another game, its never too late to take an arrow to the knee.

Look up seeds or look for temples and villages. And for the horse thing just keep right clicking it and when hearts appear like they do from cats and dogs you can put armor and saddles on them. And you can't control where the horse goes until you put a saddle on it
