Toshiba Satellite c55t touchpad won't work?

So on my laptop f5 is to disable and enable the touch pad, and I've done this, and it doesn't make a difference,
here's my problem,
My touchpad, if you touch it, it will only scroll up and down, and the cursor is not visible. I can click and right click, and if I double tap the touch part, the cursor will move for a few seconds before freezing up and I have to do that repeatedly. I hate it. It never did this before until today? I don't know what I did, and I just want to be able to play Minecraft with my touchpad. I've restarted my laptop several times, and taken out my battery. What else could I do?

Try reinstalling the drive for the touchpad. For a Windows 7 computer, you'll need to click on the start menu and then control panel. In the control panel, click on Hardware and Sound. You'll see a heading that says "Devices and Printers", and beneath it there are four options. Choose the option "Device Manager." Double click on where it says "Mice and other pointing devices." It will have the name of your touchpad underneath it. Right click on that, and choose uninstall. You'll need to restart the computer and then the driver will reinstall. You may need to restart a second time as well. If your touchpad isn't working well enough to perform this troubleshooting, you'll need to get a USB mouse to do so.

If you have Windows 8 it's all the same steps, except on the screen with all the apps on it, hold down the Windows key on your keyboard (two keys to the left of the spacebar) and then tap the letter X. It will bring up a menu that allows you to go directly into the "Device Manager."
