I have had the game for a while, and I've been told there's some music in it, and I haven't heard any! I already checked my settings everywhere.

If you have done the standard: esc, options…, music and sounds, master volum and evrything to 100 %. You may also check if your computer sounds are enabled.
If that dosen't work you should do a force update. If you don't have that option go to "New Profile" and create a new. MAKE sure that it is not a copy of your old one.
If it still does not work you can delete your.minecraft. On a PC goto %appdata% and delete it. YOU HAVE TO BE AWARE THAT THIS WILL REMOVE YOUR SAVES AND SERVERS! You can make a backup of your saves by taking the saves folder to your desktop.

If one of your friends has minecraft, copy the sound files from him/her and paste it in the folder of your game. Hope that works. All the best.
