I accidentally deleted my Minecraft skin, how do I get it back?
If you're on a Mac or PC it might have gotten put into the trash, where you can recover it. (just open the trash, find the file, drag & drop it back to your minecraft folder.)
If you're not on a computer though, tough luck. There's no undelete.
There's 2 questions on this…
1) Is this for the Java Edition OR the Redrock (Windows 10 / Mobile / XBox One / Switch) Edition?
2) Was the deletion done locally OR online?
The Java Edition pulls your skin from your online (Mojang) account, so you'll have the same look on every server you play on. Only deleting your skin from your online account will affect this.
The Redrock Edition copies (or links) your desired skin… Assuming you went with a custom-made one (instead of premade one), so there could be an issue here.
If you didn't have a back-up somewhere, you might be out-of-luck… Especially if you're NOT on a PC since consoles don't have any file recovery tools (so, once a file is deleted, it's permanently gone).
If you're on a PC, you could use a file recovery tool like Recuva ( )… But you have to utilize such tools as soon as you realize the mistake since as your computer could overwrite fragments of the file you're trying to recover… Making it harder to properly recover the file (as you may be OK with losing a few fragments, as you could edit the recovered file to fix the missing / damaged parts… But losing too many fragments may render it unrecoverable). Using such a tool does require you have another storage drive (like a USB Flash Drive) to save the file you're trying to recover so you don't accidentally overwrite file fragments with OTHER file fragments.
Without know all the details it's hard to know the best course of action… However, you could use this as a hard-learned lesson to back-up your files to avoid running into such a situation.
