I'm buying a computer especially for heavy gaming like Batman Arkham Series, GTA, Minecraft, Assassins creed, Elder Scrolls and stuff but i want it to be in a range of $500 to $900, i found a computer that is clocked at 2.6GHz but only has a RAM of 4gb another one has a 8Gb Ram capacity but it is clocked at 1.9GHz. So which one should I go with?
Should I go with high processing speed or high ram for heavy gaming?
2.6 with 4gb RAM.Ram most game needs are 2-4GB RAMS.
I would go with the one with 8gb and then overclock the processor if it's AMD or intel That has a k in it ex: i5 3570k. 4gb is no longer recommended although it will run games it won't run them on the settings you could run them at for your budget. If you got the one with 4gb you could add another 4gb stick to it if your motherboard allows it.
Both. Most games need 1-2 gb of ram so for a gaming pc id go for 4 gb ram… Just to ensure it will run 4 a ffew years. And if it doesn't make sure your motherboard supports way more. To run heavy games you need both cpu and ram. My rule of thumb is that ram must cost at least 25% of what your cpu was priced (of course this goes for lower end cpus… If you buy a 700 $ chip don't go insane on the ram… More than 8 gb of ram is just uselss at home for regualr users)
But! What is Really important for a gming pc is the graphics card. For example minecraft uses smthing called GPU processing for rendering and high view distances, so if you hope of playing minecraft on high you don't need much CPU or RAM… You need a brand spaking huge graphiccs card!
