Why does Minecraft crash when I die on multiplayer?

So I updated to 1.7.3/1.7.4 recently and I play single player with no problem at all. I then go on a multiplayer server and it crashes EVERYTIME I die on the server. It can be a minigame, pvp, survival (multiplayer), or anything the game always crashes. Any advice to stop the crashes?
