Whenever my friends try to connect to my minecraft server, it says, "can't connect to server." Why is this? (and yes, it is running at the time).

Port is probably closed, go to canyouseeme.org and check if port 25565 (default minecraft port) is open. If it's not, you need to open it, you can do that in your router settings
