A good place to start is planetmincraft.com. This is a good website that is free and very efficient. If you have any friends that have youtubes accounts that make videos frequently you could ask them to make a trailer for your sever. If you have the extra cash there are many minecraft sever websites that you can you can buy a advertisement on. I don't advise going onto other severs and spamming the the **** out of them. Doing this will result is a good way to make enemies and could lead to a DDOS attack on your sever.

Try submitting your servers website at http://thebestoftheweb.tk/ its completely free. They basically put your website link in the directory so their visitors can visit it.
