Minecraft server help: Right location for my servers?

I'm going to be running with McProhosting a minecraft server, it's not a lot of plugins just hunger games, and, I was wondering which place should I choose? It says low ping in singapore for australians, but how much ping would americans get? I'm Australian and I can't have lag, because I need to deal will hackers and player, and I need to make sure they are hacking or not. These are the places mcprohosting hosts there servers, which would be best for australians and americans? I can't have 300 ping. Would it hurt the americans to have 200 ping for PvPing?

Phoenix, Arizona
Ashburn, Virginia
Amsterdam, Netherlands (Perfect for all around E.U.)
Dallas, Texas (Great for all around US)
San Jose, California
Seattle, Washington
Singapore, Asia (Low ping in Australlia)

Honestly, I'd say your best bet would to go with Singapore or Asia, there's a shortage of good Aussie servers atm and it could really get it some publicity, Americans have PLENTY of servers anyway, they rarely join Australian ones. Hope this could help!

I agree with @BarbaricWalrus have the server in the best location for you.

Acceptable ping time is, I guess, somewhat subjective; For most online gaming and applications relying on real time communication I would class the ranges as follows:

<= 30ms - Standard average ping with nothing to worry about.
> 30ms AND <= 40ms - Above average - not to worry
> 40ms AND <= 50ms - A little high, check for lower ping servers
> 50ms AND <= 65ms - Very high but tolerable if necessary.
> 65ms AND <= 70(or 80ms)- At a significant disadvantage - tolerable if absolutely necessary
> 70(or 80ms) - Intolerable - check for potential issues on line./ Avoid server.
