Minecraft Mob spawner, what should I do?

Yesterday I just got a mob spawner from a random drop party. Now I'm just thinking " Should I customize it to spawn wolves/ocelots or make an xp farm? " (I'm on a peaceful server.) Help me decide

Maybe wolves to tame and get pets, and then replace the wolves with ocelots for XP.

I always do zombie pigmen. Make a whirlpool underneath the spawner so the pigmen get caught in it. Then, make the wirlpool go to a ledge where it drops off the pigmen in a hole, where they activate a tripwire activating a piston push a block onto their heads, suffocating them. Have a hopper underneath there, attatch the hopper to a chest, and then you have an infinate gold farm!
