I wanted to setup a minecraft server for me and my two friends who play minecraft. But the thing is my laptop is kind if low end (i3 5005u intel hd5500 6GB ram) and I think it might lag if I'm the host, is that true?
Also, how do you turn an adventure map into a multiplayer map?
You have to figure out how much RAM you want to dedicate to the server, since you have 6 GB RAM in total in your laptop you might want to dedicate 1-2 GB's to the server saying you and your friends are only playing adventure maps/survival etc. You either have to host the server off of Hamachi or port forwarding, and trust me port forwarding is annoying if it's just for a couple of friends.
