How to set a spawn point in minecraft?

I made a minecraft server but I can't figure out how to set a spawn point to all of the players that join. If i type /spawnpoint it only sets mine. And befor that every time i die, i for some reason end up somewhere diffrent each time, can you tell me if its some sort of pluggin or what. This is minecraft 1.4.7 by the way

Are you kidding me? 1.4.7! 1.9 just came out! You need to have 1.5 at LEAST in order to set a spawnpoint for everyone on a server, which is by using command blocks. Dude it's never going to work! UPGRADE IT NOW!

Type /setspawnpoint… And each time someone types /spawn… They will spawn there.

Also if you want to make a warp type /setwarp (name. For example, /setwarppotatoes. So each time someone type /warppotatoes they will go there. If you want you can send me your server's IP i can come in and help… I have been admin on 5 servers, Head admin on 2 and i personally owned 3 servers.
