How to make a custom ip for your Minecraft Bukkit Server?

I'm making a server and I want a custom ip instead of numbers, how do I make it so it will be something like play.herpderpgames.org (or org). I've seen ips like that but it has.no-ip. In it, and I don't want that.

First of all thats not an ip thats a domain name you're referring to you will need to register a domain at godaddy or any domain registrar then point the domain name to your ip so then you can access your server from the name you registered
